1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using DomLift in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use DomLift.

These terms apply to all users of DomLift, including landlords and tenants.

2. Who can use DomLift

You must be at least 18 years old to use DomLift. By using DomLift, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

DomLift is intended for use in Rwanda and by Rwandan diaspora landlords managing properties in Rwanda. Use of the service in other jurisdictions is at your own risk.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password or phone number verification code with anyone.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@domliftapp.com.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. DomLift may suspend accounts found to contain false or misleading information.

4. What DomLift provides

DomLift is a software platform that helps landlords:

DomLift provides tenants with a portal to view their rent status, payment history, submit repair requests and message their landlord.

5. What DomLift does not do

DomLift is a software tool only. We are not a party to any rental agreement between landlords and tenants.

All payment transactions happen directly between landlords and tenants through MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, or bank transfer — outside of DomLift's systems.

6. Subscriptions and payments

DomLift offers a 30-day free trial for new landlord accounts. No credit card is required for the trial.

After the trial period, continued use of DomLift requires a paid subscription. Subscription plans and pricing are listed at domliftapp.com/#pricing.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan selected. Annual plans offer a discount equivalent to one free month.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again after cancellation.

DomLift does not offer refunds for partial months or unused subscription periods, except where required by Rwandan consumer protection law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use DomLift to:

DomLift reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

8. Your content and data

You own the data you enter into DomLift — tenant names, payment records, repair notes, and so on. By using DomLift, you grant us a limited licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that the personal data you enter about your tenants is accurate and that you have the right to store it. Rwanda's data protection law applies.

If you delete your account, your data will be removed within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance.

9. Intellectual property

DomLift, including its name, logo, design, code, and all content, is owned by DomLift Limited and protected by Rwandan intellectual property law.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of DomLift without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

DomLift is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DomLift Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost rent, tenant disputes, or data loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of DomLift shall not exceed the amount you paid to DomLift in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@domliftapp.com.

DomLift may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay your subscription, or if we discontinue the service. We will give reasonable notice where possible.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify active users by email or through the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of DomLift after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Rwanda.
